So a couple weeks ago I took the plunge and bought my first sewing machine! Yay!
Unfortunately, I've been too "busy" (that's code for chicken) to take it out of the box and do anything with it.
It's a lovely machine that can do 25 different stitches and many other things I don't yet understand, but alone it sits in it's box. My goal for this week is to simply figure out how to repair a hem on a dress and fix a button on my jacket. I figure if I start small, I will be more inclined to do something with it.
Have you ever left something sit in a box because you were too scared to try? Do you have any sewing advice for a newbie? Let me know if the comments below!
